Our mandate has been and continues to be a voice for the Chinese community in Calgary in matters which affect their welfare by providing coordination and liaison between the various levels of government and the Chinese community. While the activities of the UCCA are varied, we highlight four of these:

• UCCA is represented yearly in the Calgary Stampede Parade with a float. In the past years, our float was awarded several times as the best cultural float and the best float overall. We have a good track record!

• UCCA also organized the spring and autumn memorial services at both Calgary cemeteries to remember our Chinese ancestors, a tradition we have continued yearly.

• UCCA takes pleasure in organizing the yearly seniors' banquet to express our love, care, honour and respect for them.

• UCCA organizes different programs to extend Chinese culture in Western society.

For the past years, on an as-needed basis, we have been instrumental in liaising and organizing different projects and activities to help the community.
